The New Lightness of Being
At Orgatec 2016, the three subsidiary companies of Schneeweiss AG Interior, Hiller Objektmöbel, Braun Lockenhaus (Austria) and Rosconi showcase their latest product innovations to an international audience of industry professionals. Even the corporation’s specifically designed trade fair booth, brought to life by Rosconi’s own professional interior team in tight collaboration with the departments product management as well as development, originates entirely from the corporation’s experts and offers the perfect backdrop for an individual staging of products.
The more than 5 meters high, impressive exterior shell of the more than 20 meters long Orgatec booth already illustrates the exceptionally high level of creativity and innovative spirit. The demarcation is made of 113 single air cushions, upholstered with cream-colored fabric. These air cushions serve as a reference to the design lounge chair “Baron” that has been awarded with a German Design Award Special Mention 2016 and can be viewed inside. “Baron” was created by the SchoeneHeileWelt Designstudio (Christian Ohlendorf and Robin Hapelt). In developing the chair, their aim was to come up with a light, robust, eco-friendly but still attractive lounge furniture piece. “With this eye-catching visual appearance we would like to capture attention and curiosity. The air-filled cushions embody lightness, sturdiness and appealing design”, states Juergen Dreher, owner of Schneeweiss AG Interior.
Deliberately chosen color worlds prevail within the interior of the booth, gentle neutral tones such as white, cream as well as anthracite joined by a pastel color palette of subtle greens and powder shades ranging from rosé to taupe ensure calmness and leave the center stage to the exhibited products. Juergen Dreher: “The arrangement of colors responds to the strong need for well-being and relaxation in our daily life. The shades are predestined for wellness retreats of modern nomads and create the perfect scenery for the staging of our product portfolio.”
Apart from a focus on the topic visual calmness, the subject acoustic calmness is a further important issue of this year’s Orgatec. “A cozy lounge atmosphere with comfortable conversational acoustics ensures the intensive dialogue with our guests.” Thus Schneeweiss AG Interior opted for a high-pile carpet, which dampens noises, as well as a giant anthracite-colored acoustic wall serving as a canvas for the display of the collection “Iserlohner Haken” (“hooks from Iserlohn”). Ten internationally renowned architects and designers have been invited to open up a new perspective for the hook as a fitment and wall object and shake off its dust as a simple object of utility. In front of the acoustic wall Rosconi’s world of accessories finds its place as well. The crew collection ranges from elegant stainless steel receptacles to safety products designed a modern and elegant form of storage which unites functionality and engineering with appealing design. Moreover, individual cozy communication zones are created, which present another trade fair innovation: The trendy folding stool “AKIO”, designed by Japanese creative mind Tomo Kurokawa. “We like items, which are clever and functional at the same time. This is exactly why we have been enthusiastic about ‘AKIO’ and its stylish design from day one”, says Juergen Dreher.
The Schneeweiss Wall serves as a meeting point for booth visitors. Traditional wooden workbenches are taken out of their artisan context and act as extraordinary bar units. Thus they illustrate the high proportion of craftsmanship within the corporation’s manufacturing. Copper-colored accessories as well as wooden panels create a warm atmosphere in combination with bar stools of the “li-lith” and “Eless” lines, which have been specifically individualized for the trade fair.
